Sam Oosterhoff is a Niagara resident with a lifelong commitment to service and community. His involvement in politics was inspired by seeing firsthand the negative impact overbearing governments have had on the families and communities of Niagara.
Sam is passionate about working for his neighbours and consulting with them to find practical solutions to the issues affecting hard-working Ontarians. Sam is focused on lowering the tax burden on families and job creators in the Niagara region, working towards a stronger economy with well-paying jobs, and ensuring compassionate and effective policies are in place to help the vulnerable in our society get back on their feet.
Sam was motivated to take action after working in the private sector, where he saw how the irresponsible policies of the Ontario government have hurt Niagara's families and led to thousands of lost jobs and dozens of tax increases. Sam has also worked as a legislative assistant and policy analyst on Parliament Hill.
His experience in the private sector and public policy development has prepared Sam to hit the ground running as a Member of Provincial Parliament. He will be working hard to get things done for the taxpayers of Niagara West – Glanbrook, and bring a strong, accountable voice for our values and concerns to Queen’s Park.
