About Sam Oosterhoff

Sam is the Opposition Critic for Digital Government, the Associate Critic for Research, Innovation and Science, and a Member of the Standing Committee on Government Agencies.

His November 2016 election made history as he became the youngest ever Member of Provincial Parliament.

A native of Niagara, Sam learned the value of hard work at home on his family farm and in the private sector construction.  Sam solidified his passion for service and community working on Parliament Hill as a Legislative Assistant and Policy Analyst.  In Ottawa, he had the opportunity to develop legislation, with particular emphasis on cutting red tape and scrutinizing government regulations.

Since his election, Sam has focused on the issues which impact his constituents most: healthcare, education, jobs, and hydro costs. Sam believes it is his duty as MPP to serve his constituents and represent their concerns, values, and priorities.
